Bus Stop Dharma

from Re-Entry by Zoo Front

lyrics

Buddha on a brownstone wall waiting for a bus
Needs to be downtown by 10:15
Gotta meet some joker who’s really self important
Just another well dressed philistine.

Buddha treads in lightly he never makes a sound
Helps him to appear out of thin air
Buddha always listens before he responds
Then illustrates the point with his savoir faire

Really hates to makes the scene
But he owes it to the sinners
Maybe he can get back home real soon

Buddha stops in caution he takes a look around
Wants to know that the coast is clear
Now he’s heading down a tunnel to a parking lot out back
Waiting on another volunteer

Buddha takes a minute to stroll around the corner
He’s got something up his sleeve
Then Buddha is in transit he never makes a fuss
That’s ‘cause Buddha Buddha believes

Really hates to be here
But he owes it to the sinners
Maybe he can skip this scene real soon
Always keeps his distance though he always feels a bit alone
Just the way he stays immune
